Edited to add: I can't believe I forgot how much Henry LOVES Batman. He really LOVES Batman, in fact, one of his main words, used multiple times a day is...you guessed it, BATMAN!
- Henry is a spit-fire. He is sweet spirited and easy going, but when things are going his way he does not hesitate to let you now immediately. In that way he is totally typically toddler.
- Henry is our daredevil. He climbs anything and has no fear. He still does not understand the idea of edges and often falls off chairs, the couch, our bed. He's a tough cookie.
- He LOVES sweets. He inherited his Grandpa Pat's sweet tooth. If he could exclusively live on chocolate he would. In fact, we've had to really start watching his sweet intake as he will refuse all other foods. We haven't cut sugar totally out, but his amount is very restricted right now.
- He sleeps from 8PM-6:30AM. He wakes WAY TOO EARLY for my tastes, but I think he will adjust to that.
- He is happily sharing a room with Patrick now, and I think it's made him a better sleeper, he used to be the lightest sleeper and now he isn't.
- His sleep toy of choice is a small Winnie the Pooh bear.
- He still has his suckies. I just can't wean him yet.
- This last month he cut his top two molars, and his bottom two are about to cut through as well. That brings his tooth count to 10, soon to be 12.
- He LOVES music and is a singing and dancing machine. He is hysterical when he dances. They boy has got some moves. Two nights ago when Patrick and I were singing him his good night song, he sang right along for the first time.
- He loves the water. I can't decide if his ear tubes are a good or bad thing, they keep him out of the water, but if he had his way, he would be swimming like a fish.
- Him and his cousin Tom fight over everything, they both have become total toddlers by following the rule of "What's yours is mine and what's mine is mine."
- He has words. Let's see if I can think of them all - more, snack, mommy, daddy, night-night, mine, moon, wow, ball, book, no, bye bye, hot, hi, nu-nu (Patrick's bear), papa, mama (Grandma)
- He plays so well with Patrick and loves attempting to keep up, they play hide-n-seek, cars, etc.
- He is curious about everything, absolutely everything. He is into everything. In fact, life is never dull.
- He is a love. Loves to cuddle, hug, kiss, and be silly.
- He mimics everything. Patrick just shook my hand, and Henry was right behind him doing it as well.
- He is not eating super well right now, but some of that is typically toddler, at least it was this way with Patrick as well. We aren't worried, it's not like he's dropping weight.
- He is so easy going. He puts up with a lot from Patrick who uses Henry likes he is a play toy, not a boy. We have to do lots of intervening, but he also loves it too. We are just waiting for the day to come when he fights back, then we're in real trouble.
- He has lots of silly nicknames: Hanky, Hank the Tank, Heinrich, Shorty, Hank-i-nator, Hunky, Chunky - and he answers to them all.
- He loves to go out. He may look like me, but he is his father's son. Not only did he inherit Dad's sweet tooth, he also loves to be on the go. Patrick would rather stay home, all the time. Henry flips out when Daddy goes out without taking him. Needless to say, Henry and Daddy go on lots of errands together. It's the cutest thing.
- He runs, jumps, tumbles, dances, kicks, spins, and walks backwards. He is a nut.
We love you Henry!
